VTG ranks 270+ destinations by how hard it actually is to eat vegan. Real data, real sources, no sponsored content.
"If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine; it is lethal."
Paulo Coelho
Most vegan travel content asks where the good restaurants are. That works in cities with an established vegan scene. It does not help much once you are somewhere unfamiliar, eating outside the tourist trail, trying to work out what is actually safe.
This site came from that gap. Two things have long mattered to me: travel, because it shows you how places actually work once you arrive, and veganism, because it turns out to be a reliable way to live. The rankings measure what restaurant lists do not: the structural conditions that determine how hard a place actually is.
Full ranking methodologyHow the rankings actually work
The full framework lives on its own page. Here is what it covers.
Nine criteria, split into two groups. Three set where a destination lands. Six refine the order within that range.
Where the data comes from
Rankings draw on five categories of source material. Each is checked and categorised. Nothing is based on sponsored content or single-point opinion.
